I ran across an interesting post on Jon Udell’s blog about the reinvention of air travel. It’s about DayJet, a startup airline that is trying to use traffic analysis similar to that used on computer networks to route ‘packets’ of travelers on small planes from small local airports instead of on big planes from big airports. They are also the subject of the book Free Flight by James Fallows. Haven’t read the book so I can’t vouch for it, but the blog post is interesting.
Maybe now that I’ve given them a sort of plug they’ll give me a free ticket or at least some schwag. Hint hint.
