Christ gave one great commandment to mankind:
Not a suggestion, but a golden rule:
Love God with all your heart and your mind,
And love one another as I loved you.
He didn’t command us to wear a veil
Or fret about translating pro multis.
Loveless, our piety is doomed to fail
Our worship would be hollow and soon cease
God is love, as the Holy Father writes
So how can it be overemphasized?
Love must fill our hearts, our works, and our rites
For God’s Kingdom to be soon realized
Don’t be concerned that there is too much love
Just love, and keep your heart on God above
