Bandit tracks

I thought that after they legalized parimutuel wagering in Texas and opened big-time tracks (like the late lamented Trinity Meadows) that private racing would have died out. Turns out it didn’t, and the feelings can run pretty high at these races: Azle man shot and killed at East Texas horse track.

I originally read about this on the Dallas Morning News website, but since their article will disappear behind a pay archive wall pretty soon I figured I’d link to KTVT’s story instead. It may disappear as well, but it may not. I’m not sure about their archive policy.
